Welcome to Year 3
We have been very busy this term with lots of exciting work to share. In topic we have been learning about the locality and the UK. We have recently made The London Eye out of 50 straws and blue tack! In science we have had lots of fun, doing experiments with magnets. In P.E. we are learning new tennis and gymnastics skills.
Thank you Year 3, Miss Lingard, Mr Sylvestor, Mrs Judge and Mrs Bradbury.
Year 3 and 4 Science Week Quiz
On Wednesday 14th March during Science Week, Year 3 and 4 joined forces to compete in a quiz! Each team had a mix of Year 3 and 4 pupils and the aim was to work together to answer questions linked to the Science objectives each year group has covered. Pupils worked hard to discuss their ideas and all teams tried their best. There were 3 rounds in the quiz, including a picture round. Some of the questions included:
- Name three things plants need in order to grow.
- Sounds are caused by what?
- Explain what an ‘electrical conductor’ is.
- What is the job of the digestive system?
The winning teams were awarded a certificate, Team Points and stickers. Well done to all those who took part!
